I think if you were to get closer to the tree, or bring the viewpoint down, it would prevent the branches from looking like clutter against the field. The sky is very "epic" and seeing the trees silhouetted against it would have been one idea.
I can see something happening to the far off mountain range right smack in the center of the photograph, some sort of light. Was that natural light? It might have been neat to work with that, too.
Overall the texture and microcontrast of the field is awesome.
